SeaChicken

Does your tuna in a can or tuna onigiri sound like SEACHICKEN?

Please tell me if it does and enlighten me if anything in the Japanese language that is to do with tuna actually sounds like "seetschkin"??

And my little kittens are fine. They like tuna in a can. I like tuna in a can. Moose hates tuna in a can. He also hates horsebite*s

=3

toooehehhehehehehehhehehehehhhhehehehheehehhhehhhhehhhehhhehhheheeehehehee.

*giggle*

Last night I dreamed about bunnies. There were around 6 bunnies. One had an awesome cottony tail like a bundle of cotton wool bits that had been washed and has that slightly worn fluffiness about them. Another had Bob Marley dreads and its ears bundled up into a topknot.

I ate apple puree before bedtime. I'll try not to tonight.

Lord, it's hard to be humble - doo doo doopy doo doo daaaaaah!

Post number 36 (*EDIT*actually this is post number 37)

http://www.veganpet.com.au/ Please visit the site - if you don't, you will stay ignorant.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU MAKE YOUR OBVIOUSLY, TOTALLY NATURALLY MEAT EATING CAT INTO A FCUKING VEGAN????

So that no animal is suffering to feed your pet.

What kind of idea is that a vegan diet can be staple, nutritious and enjoyable lifestyle for your cat JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO HURT ANIMALS??? What kind of executive, authoritarian, egotistical, human decision makes it right to feed your cat (or dog) no animal products???

I can't belive this is such an absolute degradation and abomination of the nature of animals. You are denying a cat's instinct to eat meat and the natural cycle of life to eat meat. Is it a problem to buy fresh meat from a pet food store? You can go to your local butcher if it makes you feel so bad. The animals that you feed your pet from a butcher and pet meat store have all been killed in a strictly humane manner - you can ask them if you like.

You may not be supporting the meat industry with their mass harvesting of bovine product or sheep products but you may also be missing the fact that sheep, pigs and cows are an industry where they are bred for turing into meat products - I see this as sustainable. The objection to the slaughter techniques is also an issue. To obviously have meat products you do need to kill an animal otherwise it's bloody cruel to start cutting off tender loins before they are dead. The industry has regulations - you may not agree with them, but let's see how you would fare killing your own meat product in a humane manner - then you can propose to the industry to use that technique - they should always be looking for more productive and more humane killing methods.

Ehhh - I guess everyone has watched a documentary on big cats in the wild. Oh, hang on - no they eat antelope and zebra, that's cruel, they suffer, they do get eaten, no waste - and they are beautiful, majestic, natur............oh, hang on a minute - OMG THEY'RE BEING KILLED WITH THEIR BARE CLAWS????? OH NO NO NO NO THE JUGULAR AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

Fish - this is the other one - is obviously from the sea. If you feed your pets fresh fish that you catch yourself, you know that it's fresh, that you would have prepared it yourself and that you are not supporting the fishing industry. Local fish mongers. Not only are you supporting your local fish monger, you know that it is fresh. You could even ask them about their fishing techniques to make sure that you are happy with the way they do their job before buying any fish from them.

C'mon, there has got to be more you can do than just turning your cat or dog into a vegan. You're not supporting the industry, but you're not stopping it. Do you think that boycotting companies like that happens? Do you think that making your cat eat vegan foods means that you're hurting the mass producing manufacturers that sell foods like that to millions - MILLIONS OF PEOPLE?

I don't want to be negative about it but it gets me angry - thinking that "I'll feed my pet vegan food so the little animals aren't hurting" and not supporting industry is naive. You are not supporting industry, nor local business, nor your community by owning an animal that eats meat and choosing for it to become vegan.

Firstly you should think about why did you buy a cat or a dog? They are MEAT EATING ANIMALS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD - buy a Rabbit, or a Guinea Pig, or a Pot Bellied Pig, Sheep, Alpaca and Ponies - they don't eat meat and are loving pets.

Why do you want a pet that eats meat? Is it because you can make the moral decision for them that they shouldn't eat meat because it is wrong? I want a pet and I don't want it to eat meat when it is a MEAT EATING ANIMAL.

Life and death is a cycle. I understand that manufacturers and their mass production, havesting and killing is not always the best, most humane or sustainable. People are very selfish. I think that it is selfish to make your pet eat something it would not eat naturally coz you want it to.

I know that these people will still feed their pets vegan food. I will continue to feed my pets meat.

Please be kind to your animals and give them the LOVE and RESPECT they deserve.

Does age really matter? I mean REALLY MATTER???

I think I know some 36 year olds. I think. I don't normally ask people their age because then my brain goes into - age + wisdom = error, they should be smarter!!!!!! and I get confused.

I also was told that I am eight today. It's hard to act my age when I want to be happy, child like happy and find small amusement in the little things in life. I think if I ignore it, it'll get better, but it gets worse. So I don't ignore it.

Hey, there is not a single day when I don't think of my family - or of my friends - or of my kittens or my Sharni cat.

Not a single day passes without some thought of some one that I like best.

And I know I have been a bit of a stress nut lately and I have a very very low tolerance and a very short temprement for silly thoughts.

ehhhhhhhhh - it's all bad and all good and all bad and all good and all bad and all good and shut up now coz it's driving me nuts. It's all this silly thought. Woolly thought.

Maa's woolwash is horrible stuff and shouldn't be used on wool. It makes me wanna puke. Eucalyptus washing stuff smells like cat pee. Mebbe coz cats peed in it.

Stinky woolly thoughts.

I need to wash.

Yours sincerely, yours faithfully, yours in anticipation, yours signed on the dotted line

Post number 35.

Enough woolly thought. When you see tradgedy on tv, don't turn away, or switch it off, ignoring it isn't acknowledging it.

I saw some disturbing stuff on tv. The tragic and devastating aftermath of a suicide bomber was broadcast on tv. There were wailing men, women and children and there were bodies, lying in literal pools of blood. It was gutwrenching the feeling I felt of their helplessness in a world that is full of people that can't find peace.

I felt sick.

This graphic broadcast of strewn bodies lying in a street and the injured survivors being taken for treatment made me realise, this is after the war, this is footage of after the war. This footage was more bloody, more shocking, more tragic than any footage of soldiers since the war had started. Even the words they used of innocent people on the news was saddening me more and more.

If it is so easy to make war, why do we find it such difficult task to find peace, to make peace and to have peace. We all have a heart and when we die, our loved ones grieve for us. We breath the same air and live amongst others everyday. It's hard to see eye to eye. It's hard to forget years of disaster, grief, tradgedy and feelings of hate, anger, vengeance. It's hard because perhaps peace is such a great thing that we do have to work to achieve it.

My day to day tasks involve small amounts of stress over seemingly meaningless events when you think of a global scale of famine, war, political disruption, civil unrest, and that all too cliched word "terrorist". I choose not be a terrorist. I also choose not hate people because of their colour, their religion, their beliefs. I am in a Western raised society where I learn these things but I have not been put in that kind of a situation where I have to decide, to take sides, to make a choice between myself and others. I want to have faith in people, that everyone, deep down, wants peace. I am not eight years old and trained to kill people, I'm not a freedom fighter struggling to get rid of corruption, I am not a person condemned for their religious beliefs.

It makes it a little harder for my belief in peace to not sound shallow and insignificant, empty and meaningless when I have been fortunate to be born into a family that cares for me, to have a loving relationship and to live in a city without war, without daily civil conflict on the street.

Please start small - don't lose faith in humans - we are all human and can stand strong, peaceful, happy and proud to be part of humankind. No more woolly thinking, give the power of peace to the people and so we can be a people for peace.

Sign your heart for peace.

Po-0-0-0o-ooost number 34 *gimme, gimme, gimme, the honky to-nk blues*

Almost a mid life crisis post if my age was actually 34. I think that would be the time that I finally buy a sportscar.

In the event that I do not grow Panda ears, I will also not buy a sportscar. I need panda ears to drive a sportscar.

I did 3 hours of stompy rave dancin kinda weird unco-ordinated jigging on Friday morning from 12.30am to around 3.30am. It was quite good. Unfortunately the passive smoking made my weary twenty-something body feel like it had a hangover and a half from just drinking water and floundering in a crowd with a glo-stick. I also had a Mount Franklin water bottle rythmically bounced on my head causing me to cringe in pain on the dance floor. Luckily it was from a nice polite raver boy who apologised almost kissed my crown better.

Saturday was the very late start to the morning with me actually waking up and realising full consciousness at 3.00 pm in the afternoon when I found I had wandered through a tourist place, paying $15.00 and thinking - fukc that was shit. I believe that modern technology is a wonderful thing. I do also believe that good old fashioned verbal and visual communication goes a long way in this world of videos, dvd's, surround sound and infra red. I also thought that I could have cause a great security hazard with little effort. I do not wish to make someone's day shit so I decided to just amuse myself with the thought of an imaginary small child raining havoc on someone imaiginary, too.

Sunday I got to feed animals at the wildlife sanctuary at MOle CreeK. I liked the tubby man who did the tour - he looked like he could cuddle animals all day. He also looked like someone who could smash your spine if you happened to laugh at the thought of creating road kill for fun.

We only have a few days left before our Japanese student goes back to Japan. I hope that they've enjoyed their study here of the wonderful language we call "Austraaaaalian" and I hope he doesn't use swear words profusely at untimely and inappropriate moments of his life. I have learned that if you speak a different language and go to a different country and practice, make sure it's the right language for the country you visit.

My kittens are doing better this weekend. After the drowsiness of the anaesthetic wearing off they are almost back to their bouncy selves - except Wolf has a little less jiggle and Yumi has one less internal organ........ (they never stop being cute!!)

*sigh* I really would like panda ears.

OH, and the sportscar.

BTW I miss my Sharni cat. Please, if you see her wave - she can't hear you.

Current Mood :: Tragic; my life is struck with panda-earless-misery: and I'm not shitting you either. I have no panda ears!
Current Fetish :: Daydreaming of Happy Cats and fields of Domo-kun
Current Whinge :: No fields of domo-kun
