Welcome to over the hill - the grass is greener here
Post numbero 50
Hi, and welcome to old age. You are now beyond the middle agedness of being "over the hill" at post number 40 and have reached the quiet and delicate decade of where old age sinks its teeth into you and keeps a hold until you die or get extreme plastic surgery that makes you look 20 years younger.
Even though I am pretty old, well not too old, just passed the invincible teenage stage and entering the scary years of "twenty-something" I am still learing new things, almost every day.
Today I learned about T-Shirts. I know what they are. They are Tee Shirts. Today I learned that T-Shirts are called that because the are in the shape of a certain letter of the alphabet. Can you guess? I didn't guess for many many years, not that it crossed my mind to put the name to the literal meaning of the letter "T" being the shape of a shirt and that is why they call it a "T-Shirt".
Although that is the only logical conclusion for the naming at this stage because my brain can't really cope with that learning curve and also considering that the reason the T is added to the Shirt may be an abbreviation of a word like Tailored Shirt or something..... I shudder to think.
Now the idea of an "F-Shirt" makes so much more meaning. Also marketing a "Y", "M", "C" and "A" shirts strikes me as a logical and sensical progression for the evolution of the tiny tee.
I wonder what a "B" shirt is for...............................

Ode to iPod mini
iPod iPod, so shiny and green
iPod iPod, I shall keep u unscratched and cleen
iPod iPod, so small and so light
iPod iPod, you bring music to my life
I got it yesterday and it's so shiny and new and shiny and green and new and shiny.
Did I mention it's shiny?
Oh, it has been an interesting week full of electric blankets and hot nights and rainy days and strange dreems due to overheating the body.
Today was op-shopping. The giant op shop is like MEGA huge. But apparently it's not the biggest one in town.
I never really considered where all the old clothes go. I tend to wear clothes out and throw them away. I also sometimes give clothes away at a clothes swap with friends and then the unwanted items go to the clothing donations bins.
Walking amongst wall to wall old clothes was a very overwhelming experience. And the shoes section smelled like old shoes, non-aired, feet smell residue and a hint of sweat. I must have had a very bewildered look on my face because my friend who took me was laughing at my expression.
Hmmm, I will do some more shopping because there is some nice stuff under $5.00
I like cheep, but I also like good expensive stuff. Actually, I'm a girl, so I just plain love shopping!
